General Terms
Ergrownomics Limited (registered number: 07796386), trading as Ergrownomics (www.ergrownomics.co.uk), is dedicated to protecting your privacy. The following sets out the terms by which your information may be collected, processed and used. For any privacy concerns, kindly direct these to [email protected], where our team will be happy to address them. Please note that this site is written in English (UK). When you use our website, our Internet Service Provider makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes: your server address, your top-level domain, date and time you accessed the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the previous site visited, and the type of browser used. This information is collected anonymously for the sole purpose of keeping our site optimised and user-friendly; no attempt will be made to identify the user by Ergrownomics Ltd.
In addition to this technical information, upon purchasing from www.ergrownomics.co.uk you will be provided with a free account, granting you access to Ergrownomics' unlimited, lifetime growing support. This account is set up using your email address, which is held by us for the purpose for providing you with access to this resource. We may also use your email address to provide you with confirmation and updates concerning your order, as well as any company updates we feel may be of interest you; you can stop these at any time by following the UNSUBSCRIBE instructions at the base of our emails, or by contacting us directly with a formal request. In addition, your account may also contain your delivery and billing address, as well as your order history; this is solely for your convenience regarding repeat orders, or in the unlikely event of a faulty product needing to be replaced. If you wish to have this account deleted, please contact us at [email protected]. It must be stressed that this (or indeed, any!) personal information will never be sold or intentionally disseminated to any third party.
We reserve the right to follow-up to any abandoned orders in checkout (using your provided contact information), for the purposes of offering further assistance to the customer, and addressing any concerns.
Your information & how we use it
During the course of our activities we will process personal data (which may be held on paper, electronically, or otherwise) about our customers and we recognise the need to treat it in an appropriate and lawful manner, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using this site, chat-function, contact-us form, making a purchase, or by subscribing to our newslatter - you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by us, as described. We will ensure that appropriate measures are taken against unlawful or unauthorised processing of personal data, and against the accidental loss of, or damage to, personal data. We will ensure that we have in place procedures and technologies to maintain the security of all personal data from the point of collection to the point of deletion.
Our Mailing List
We offer a regular newsletter for interested parties, organised using Mailchimp. This can be joined using the sign-up form on our site, or by making a purchase in our store (from which you automatically enroll). In addition, you may also be added to the mailing list if a 3rd party has specifically stipulated your wish to receive emails from us (and can prove you have granted them consent to do this).
In compliance with GDPR laws (see above) we use your data (including email, first & last names) solely to provide a newsletter - populated with product updates & offers, garden & lifestyle inspiration, & sustainability tips. This is managed within the Mailchimp platform, where all data is held on secure servers, and we remain fully compliant with all relevant terms of service. To UNSUBSCRIBE, simply follow the instructions at the base of the email, and you will be immediately removed from the mailing list.
Our Chat Function (tawk.to)
In order to offer a chat function to our users, we reserve the right collect select personal data for the purposes of offering assistance, and following up to any queries (please see 'Cookies' policy, below). This may include email address, phone number & first/last names. All of this is managed within the Tawk.to application, and all information is held on their secure servers (we remain fully compliant with all their operating guidelines). We hold a record of all contacts (including a chat transcript & personal details), but can delete these 'Tickets' with notice given during the 'chat', or by emailing your request to [email protected], afterwards. This information is held solely for the purposes of offering aid, and will not be used for any other purpose. A link to our Privacy Policy is included on the widget, and you agree for us to hold a record of your information (for the purposes described) by proceeding to and using the chat function.
Cookies
To optimise your web session and provide the option of contact through our chat function, we do collect cookies (a small trace file stored by your browser). These are set to expire after 24 hours and are not intended to record any information other than your interaction with our site, nor will they continue to track your web activity elsewhere. By using our site, you agree to comply with our use of cookies (and other privacy practices described herein); however, you can also choose to delete or block cookies by changing preferences in your browser – although this may affect your visit experience.
Web Security
www.ergrownomics.co.uk is a registered, compliant and secured site. We protect all collected data using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL); the certificate for this can be found by selecting the padlock icon in the URL bar. This ensures that all information is sent privately and securely to our server in an encrypted format. If you choose to checkout using card, your financial information is collected securely through the PayPal payment gateway. We cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. You are also fully protected under PayPal’s Buyer Protection scheme. Alternatively, you can also choose to pay with a bank transfer before dispatch of your goods. While we have taken every measure to protect your personal data, Ergrownomics Ltd cannot be held liable for any breach or loss.

We have gone to great lengths to collect first-hand, professionally researched and accurate information to provide to our users. Where necessary, we have also used accredited sources to supplement our own knowledge. However, Ergrownomics’ cannot warrant the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of the material on this website. All information may be changed, supplemented, deleted or updated without notice at the sole discretion of Ergrownomics. We recommend that you seek independent advice before acting upon material on this website.
Your rights
As said, you have the right to see what information we hold about you, by making a subject access request to [email protected]. Furthermore, you also have the right to request that any information we hold about you is deleted. It must be stressed again that this information is intended for no other purpose than providing you with the best buying experience we can offer, as well as permitting a high quality of aftercare, guidance and support.
