Welcome to the first ‘Follow Us’ update of 2021, a space where we talk about how we’re growing in our own Ergrownomics raised planters this year, and walk you through how you can achieve the same results at home, yourself! To start this year off, we're still growing the 'Lambs Lettuce', 'Land Cress' & Spring Onions 'White Lisbon Winter Hardy', that have over-wintered from 2020, but we've also introduced several varities of radishes and rocket under cloche cover - we can't wait to see how they get on! To view all of last years progress, please feel free to browse through our backlog of 2020.

Welcome to our second fortnightly Follow Us update of the Winter! Seeing as we've seen few noteable changes since November - updates will continue to be less frequent until late February/March. In Planter 1, the 'Lambs' lettuce and 'Land' cress are staying at the "four leaf" stage, and the 'Winter Hardy' spring onions still appear strong despite the recent frosts! The lettuces in Planter 3 still produce a good quantity each week (although we have had to cut back on the quantities consumed), and the kales in Planter 4 have continued to thrive (and be selectively picked twice a week!) To view all weeks of this year, please feel free to browse through our backlog.
Welcome to our first fortnightly Follow Us update of the Winter, where we'll keep you appraised of our progress (even though it's slowed down!) In Planter 1, the 'Lambs' lettuce and 'Land' cress have finally grown enough to split into the "four leaf" stage, and the 'Winter Hardy' spring onions still appear strong despite the recent frosts! As usual, the lettuces in Planter 3 have continued to grow well and be picked almost daily, while the kales in Planter 4 have continued to thrive (and be selectively picked twice a week!) To view all weeks of this year, please feel free to browse through our backlog.
Welcome to our final Follow Us @ Spring Cottage of the year - covering weeks 30 & 31! Progress continues as normal in Planter 1, with the 'Lambs' lettuce and 'Land' cress both looking healthy, but slow growing. The 'Winter Hardy' spring onions also appear strong and healthy, and we'll check back on those early next year so you can see how they've over-wintered. As usual, the lettuces in Planter 3 have also continued to grow well and be picked almost daily, while the kales in Planter 4 have continued to thrive (and be selectively picked twice a week!) To view all 31 weeks of this year, please feel free to browse our backlog. We hope you've had as much fun this year as we have, and we'll provide some periodic updates as the months roll on!
Welcome to our twenty-ninth and penultimate Follow Us @ Spring Cottage, 2020! In Planter 1, The 'Lambs' lettuce and 'Land' cress are both looking healthy, but growth continues to be slow. The 'Winter Hardy' spring onions are similar, likewise appearing strong and healthy, but will probably remain small throughout winter (as planned). As usual, the lettuces in Planter 3 have also continued to grow well and be picked daily, while the kales in Planter 4 have continued to thrive (and be selectively picked twice a week!) If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first? We've used a four planter to demonstrate, so if you're working with a smaller model, just pick your favourites and follow them through instead!
Welcome to our twenty-eighth Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! The 'Lambs' lettuce and 'Land' cress continue to grow well in Planter 1, and the 'Winter Hardy' spring onions are looking strong and healthy despite the cold winds! As usual, the lettuces in Planter 3 have also continued to grow well and be picked daily, while the kales in Planter 4 have continued to thrive (and be selectively picked twice a week!) If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first?
