Welcome to our twenty-first Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! This week, although the storms have kept up, the foliage across all four planters has stood up well, likely due their plant training support. In Planter One, the peas continue to grow well and the pods are beginning to fill out. The herbs in Planter Two are also going strong, and this week also spells the end of the lettuce and chard in Planter Three, which we'll be removing in favour of winter line lettuces very soon! If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first? We've used a four planter to demonstrate, so if you're working with a smaller model, just pick your favourites and follow them through instead!

Welcome to our nineteenth Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! This week we've seen some good progress across all planters, despite the torrential rainstorms we've had recently! The kales (‘Emerald Ice’, ‘Nero di Toscana’ and ‘Midnight Sun’) in Planter 4 have gone from strength to strength, and we've place the training around them for extra support in the winds. The chard 'Bright Lights' in Planter 3 has also shown some strong re-growth, and the herbs in Planter 2 can now be picked in earnest... Finally, we've also started to find our first modest pods on the 'Tom Thumb' pea in Planter 1! If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first? Welcome to our eighteenth Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! This week we've seen some good germination in Planter 4 - with ‘Emerald Ice’, ‘Nero di Toscana’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ all filling out their lines. We've also (due to a miscommunication!) cut back the chard 'Bright Lights' in Planter 3, but hopefully that will regrow as baby leaf! Finally, the herbs in Planter 2 are all going strong, and are now able to be picked in moderation. If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first? Welcome to our seventeenth Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! This week we've been sowing some great varieities of kale in planter 4 - including ‘Emerald Ice’, ‘Nero di Toscana’ and ‘Midnight Sun’! We've also finished with the chard 'Bright Lights' in Planter 3, which has stood well for much longer than expected! What's more, the herbs in Planter 2 are all going strong, and are now able to be picked in moderation. If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first? Welcome to our sixteenth Follow Us @ Spring Cottage! This week we've finished picking the Carrots, Spring Onions and Beetroot in Planter 4, and the 'Tom Thumb' peas in Planter 1 have completed their germination! The mixed quartet of herbs in Planter 2 continue to grow well, and the lettuces in Planter 3 have begun to "heart up". If you haven't seen our earlier posts, why not check those out first?
